How a job runs

Every photo below is from one of Viktor's own jobs, at the stage it describes.

  1. A roof deck stripped bare and fully covered in black synthetic underlayment with printed nailing lines, a coil nailer resting at the eave.

    Strip it to the deck

    Old shingles come off, the deck gets checked for rot and soft spots. Anything bad gets replaced before a single new shingle goes on.

  2. Grey IKO Stormtite ice and water membrane meeting blue Roofnado AnchorDeck underlayment, with a coil nailer and air hose on the deck.

    Ice, water and underlayment

    Ice-and-water membrane along the eaves and valleys, synthetic underlayment over the rest. This is the layer that actually keeps water out when the shingles are working against wind.

  3. A new ridge cap running down the centre of a dark grey roof, empty IKO Hip and Ridge bundle wrappers and torn-off debris to one side.

    Shingles and ventilation

    Shingles go on in courses, vents and flashing get set properly rather than caulked over. Ridge cap last, running clean down the hip.

    Clean up and walk it

    Debris out, magnet over the lawn and driveway for nails, then a walk around the property with you before anybody leaves.
