A skylight is a hole in your roof with a window in it. Whether it leaks comes down almost entirely to how the flashing is detailed where the curb meets the shingles, and that detail is easy to rush.
Viktor installs and reflashes skylights as part of the roofing work rather than as an add-on afterwards. If you are re-roofing and there is a skylight up there already, that is the right moment to deal with it, because the flashing is coming off anyway.
Steep and awkward skylight jobs sometimes need ropes and rigging. That is a normal part of the job, not an upcharge for drama.

Skylights questions
My skylight leaks. Does it need replacing?
Usually it is the flashing rather than the unit. If the glass and seal are sound, reflashing it properly is often all it needs.
Should I deal with the skylight during a re-roof?
Yes. The flashing comes off as part of the tear-off regardless, so doing it then costs a fraction of doing it as its own job later.
